Volvariella volvacea is a fungus belonging to the genus Pleurotus ostreatus in the family Pleurotus ostreatus. Straw mushroom hyphae are colorless and transparent, with varying cell lengths, 46-400 microns in diameter, 217 microns in average, 6-18 microns in width, and 10 microns in average. Loose reticulate mycelium. The fruit body is composed of cap, stalk, gills, outer membrane, stent and so on.
