Chaga, also known as Inonotus obliquus, is a medicinal fungus that grows on birch trees. Chaga is a sterile fruiting body that is nearly spherical or indefinitely massive. Yellowish brown to black, the flesh of the bacteria is yellowish brown, and the mycelium is a two-line mycelial system. The main producing areas are Heilongjiang in northern China and Changbai Mountain in Jilin.
